CTRACK STATEMENT ON VIOLENCE IN SOUTH AFRICA.

July 15, 2021
The Ctrack management team would like to express their disappointment at the recent events and acts of violence that have taken place in our beloved country, which intensified the violent attacks the trucking industry has been facing during the last 12 months. It is a truly sad situation that requires swift action from government and business leaders.
Over the past 18 months, our monthly Ctrack Freight & Logistics Index, prepared in conjunction with economist Mike Schussler, has shown great promise of recovery prior to the recent third wave of COVID-19. The recent violence could wipe out all the gains achieved during the last three to four months.
The ongoing events reveal more damage on a daily basis that will influence the economy and also impact on Ctrack’s activities and ability to offer service to our clients. All business owners will agree that the safety of our staff and those of our clients remains the most important factor when making lifesaving decisions on a now daily basis.
The violence will also have a significant impact on our supply chain, stock levels, and capability to move technicians into possibly violent areas. Currently, decisions to support our clients are made on a case-by-case basis as support requests are received, and we trust you will appreciate the difficulty we are experiencing in supporting our clients at our usual high levels of service.
Where our plans, unfortunately, fall short, we urge you to call our National Call Centre that operates 24/7 on 086 033 3444, where we will walk the extra mile to accommodate any requirements you may have.
We trust that you are able to keep safe during these difficult times and would like to assure you that Ctrack will continue to do our best to mitigate the risks on your business now and in the future.
Please do not hesitate to contact our offices for any other enquiries you might have.
Wishing you all the safety, and health going forward, which you deserve.
The Ctrack Team
